Seit Ende August bietet Google schon das neue Produkt “Google Apps for Your Domain” an, das Produkt enthält: Gmail, Gtalk, Google Calendar und Google Page Creator, der große Vorteil ist, dass die Tools sehr gut miteinander kombinieren und verknüpfen können, aber es ist mehr für den Business Bereich gedacht.
Eine vereinfachte Version von ” Google Apps for Your Domain” heißt “Google Apps for Education“, das Produkt enthält nur Gmail, Gtalk und Google Calendar, es ist auch wie in dem Name steht für den Bereich Ausbildung.
Die Arizona State University berichtet heute auf seinem Homepage, dass in der Universität schon für das Produkt entschieden haben und warum sie gerade Google ausgewählt haben.
“We are excited to be working with Google to bring their unique brand of communication and collaboration tools to the ASU community,” says Adrian Sannier, ASU vice president and university technology officer. “We believe that strategic alliances with technology leaders like Google are key to accelerating the contribution that technology can make to ASU’s academic enterprise.”
